How many burials can be placed in a single space? Each cemetery has specific guidelines. Generally, you can purchase up to three burial rights for a single ground space as long as one of the burials is for cremated remains. Crypts can generally accommodate one placement of cremated remains.
When is the cemetery clean-up? Clean up days are posted at the entrance of each cemetery. A clean up calendar is available online as well as in information boxes posted throughout the cemetery grounds.
What if my loved one has a birthday or anniversary on a clean-up day? Please visit the cemetery office one to two days before the scheduled day. You will be given a flag for placement at the gravesite. This flag will notify the grounds staff to leave decorations and flowers in place.
Is a vault or liner required for burial? What is the difference? Yes, one of the two options is required for burial. This will protect the casket from a collapse of the gravesite due to heavy equipment. The top seal vault has two parts. The bottom part is lowered into the space prior to services. Once the casket is lowered, a concrete lid is placed on top, surrounding the entire casket. The liner is a single piece of concrete placed over the casket similar to an upside down shoe box. The bottom of the casket rests on the earth itself.
Do I have to pay an additional fees for the maintenance of the grave? No, the cost of maintaining the cemetery grounds and the gravesite is included.
